Int opinion, clear emporers are the best for any kind of metal. They allow sound to travel and aren't plasic sounding unlike pinstripes. However, you have to know how to tune them well to get the perfect sound. |

| remo pinstripes are an excellent head. definitely go for it to replace those. as for the bottom head (the 'resonant' head) you dont really need to replace those. I got a new set (jet black ones) when i got my new set but mainly for aesthetic purposes. you rarely need to change the bottom head, if ever. so if you dont wanna fork out the money, dont cause its not worth it. |
