How can i get my hair back to blonde without color stripping it? i dyed my hair red a while ago and now i want it back to blonde. I want to do it without color stripping it because they said color stripping it would fry my hair. Do you know of something else i can do to get it back to blonde? |
| Red is the hardest color to keep and is also the hardest color to get rid of (Due to its molecule size)! Unfortunately I would have to say go with the color remover... If you bleach (which you would have to do since color wont remove color... you need to remove pigment which can only be acheived by highlift or bleach) the hair it is just as damaging and can pull a pinkish cast or maintain a warm hue, you can take this chance and use a toner if this happens but in most cases I would go with the remover first (especially since I dont know what level you are at and what level and hue you are trying to acheive)! Ask the stylist to provide you with an intense conditioning treatment following the process! I definately would recommend setting up a consultation for a corrective color (which shouuld only be done by a professional) at a full service salon! |
How to dye hair blonde after stripping hair? I use color oops to get my dark dye out now its bright red/orange how do I get it light brown dark blonde? I already put on a extra light ash blonde and it did nothing but make it a little lighter but still red/orange? |
Buy proffesional bleach from Sally Beauty Supply and bleach it for 20 minutes.
Use a 20vol. developer. |
Dying hair blonde after stripping the color out ? I had dyed my hair dark brown then I stripped the color out of it and got bleach highlights. Now i want to dye my hair. It has been 2 weeks. Can i just dye my hair blonde now that it has been stripped ? Advice ? Thanks |
| Yikes, that seems a bit tooo much. I would call a salon and ask them professionally what you should do. or you could go into sallys beauty supply and ask them their opninion. Good luck! |
After stripping out dark brown, will I be able to go light blonde? I've recently been dying my hair dark dark brown and wanted to go back to my natural light blonde (possibly a little lighter). I stripped the dark brown out of my hair which gives me a really orangey-red color. Once I color a light natural blonde on top, will it still be orangey or red? Thanks!! |
| If i was you, i would go to a hairdressers and get it done. If you put a light blonde dye on your hair, it could still be orange, and your hair will probably start snapping off. Im a hairdresser with 15 years experience, so i know what im talking about. |
Could a salon dye my hair from red to brown with some medium blonde highlights without stripping it? I understand it might have a brassy tone, which is okay, I'm just tired of the red. |
| um not unless u pay them 5,000 dollars |
Stripping my hair from blonde back to it's natural brown, harmful? I have light blonde hair (dyed) that I have been dying for 10+ years. I want to strip my hair to go back to my natural color which is, judging from my roots, light-medium brown. Will it harm my hair badly or should I wait for my roots to grow out a little then find a color close to that? |
You can just dye your hair to the shade that you prefer
It's not harmful to your hair faster and easier and going from a light color to dark your hair looks healthier ( : |
What does "stripping hair" before bleeching it, mean? "So to get my hair blonde, should I strip the color first and then start the bleaching process?"
WHAT DOES STRIPPING MEAN, PLEEEEEASE HELP ME !!! |
| Stripping is generally a bleach bath on the hair to remove dark colours from hair to make it easier to go lighter. No you do not always have to strip the hair to go blonde it depends on how often you have coloured you hair and how dark it is. As I can not see or know the condition and textue of your hair it is hard to tell you what you will need to do, so go see a hairdresser who will give you all the options best for you and your hair as stripping hair and bleaching hair can dry out and damage the hair making it weak and the weaker it gets the more it will break. |
How bad is hair stripping, do I have any other options? I put a medium brown semi permanent hair color in almost two months ago and I don't think it will ever be blonde again. Well my question is do I have to get it stripped and then put blonde back in or can I just get it colored over the top of the semi permanent. I am very scared to get it stripped because my hair is damaged , but if I do get it done I'm planning on cutting a few inches off. Any advice would be great Thanx |
A dye remover, like color oops, will take your hair back to the lightest color it's been since it removes the dye particles from the hair shaft. When you're washing it out you need to scrub like hell though for like an hour. It will look light right after you put the stuff in, this is a lie, the dye partilces have just been shrunken and so you can't see them, if you don't scrub hard enough they won't come out and your hair will re-darken over a few days. Yes this will damage your hair, but a really good deep conditioning treatment should help, as will a couple of inches cut off the bottom. You could also bleach it out, but that would cause just as much if not more damage than stripping.
Assuming you haven't done anything else to your hair, this should take it back to its natural color. |
