Can anyone name any dark skinned black female celebrities? I don't want for this to sound racist but I really feel my neices (and maybe even myself!) need some dark skinned women to look up to, because everywhere I look, in the media it seems the dark skinned black female is portrayed as unattractive. Even in sitcoms all the mens wives are light skinned and the more popular black celebrities of the moment are all light skinned women, this affected me while I was growing up and I dont want to see the same thing happen to them |
| I know celebrities are a big influence but why don't you look towards people like Condoleezza Rice who looks after national secuity for the States or Joyce Ohajah the news corresponent who won reporter of the year? If you focus more on influences like these then the chances are your nieces will grow up with ambition to succeed and seek incredible careers rather than want boob jobs and men that will think they are attractive. x |
Props to Oprah for speaking out against Chris Brown! Why aren't other black female celebrities doing the same? GO OPRAH! She said that Rihanna is nuts for going back to Chris Brown so soon and that once a man hits you he's an abuser for life!! I'm jusr wondering why haven't more Black celebrity women spoken out and are outraged? Every black female celebrity I saw interviewed about it just seems to clam up and say something like. "I' hope they work it out." Where is the outrage from my Black celebrity sistahs? |
| perhaps its taboo to speak out against wrongs like that in hollywood for fear of backlash. this sort of thing might be commonplace. oprah can do what she wants. she has her money and no one can say anything to her. only rihanna can stop the abuse if it continues with one number 9-1-1. |
Who are some Black female celebrities with oblong or just long face shapes? I need someone to identify with when it comes to makeup and hair! |
| TYRA BANKS |
Why do almost all black female celebrities wear weaves? I'm not trying to be mean or rude, but it is true, and I am just curious as to why. Just look at Oprah, Michelle Obama, Beyonce, Kelly Rowland, Venus and Serena Williams, Gabrielle Union, and even biracial women, like Halle Berry and Jordin Sparks. The only one who doesn't is Whoopi Goldberg. |
| Because they choose too. Many celebs get there hair styled everyday and it consist of ALOT of heat instead of putting the heat on there real hair they use it on the weave. This is not limited to only black celebs,a good majority of white, hispanics and asians celebs do it as well. I'm sure no one wants all that heat on there regardless of how long or short it is. To much heat WILL DAMAGE YOUR HAIR. |
How du u feel about the "european" look of many of today's black female celebrities? From Beyonce, Rhianna, Lil Kim, Naomi Campbell, Tyra Banks, I could go on and on. Whether it be a "european" wig, some kind of surgical procedure, or altering there actual figure. This question is definently not meant to offend because I am a black male who loves these celebrities. And I know that u have to do whatever it takes to get that $$$. But I have always been a fan of the natural look (Lauryn Hill, India Arie, Jill Scott). What is your intelligent opinion on this? |
That's so funny because I personally find all of those celebrities to be unattractive!
So many of them, like Tyra and Naomi looked so much more beautiful years ago. I don't like this "European" look. |
Who do you think is better looking between these 2 black female celebrities? judge by these pics down below!!

Do you know of any dead black female celebrities I can use as a Halloween Costume? I have to go to a halloween party as a dead celebrity. Since I'm an african american woman, I'm looking for an african american celebrity who has passed away that I can use as my costume. Preferably it would be good if the person was someone who would be easily recognized. |
Dorothy Dandridge
You can have a lot of fun if you go as Cleopatra Jones. She was played by Tamara Dobson who died last year. |

Why are there so very few attractive black female celebrities? Ok some people say Rihanna, Beyonce and Tyra Banks but all of them have lighter skin or light eyes and even they aren't that attractive compared to mixed race women.
Gabrielle Union is very average honestly she looks like a skinny Mo'nique and that Gabbie girl from the movie Precious isn't helping black women she's hideous and huge. |

Do black female celebrities sew in their weaves or glue them in? i was just asking me and my friend are having a huge argument about it plus i really want to wear weave and i don't know whether to glue or sew i think sew because glue can sometimes be harmful to the hair. |
they probably do the "fusion hair" which is when they glue individual pieces of hair to their hair, that's probably the best weave because it looks so natural, because it can move around and be free. But it costs alot of money.
I personally get sew-in weave, because i just feel more secure, and confident it won't come out, and it lasts way longer than gluing it in, and yes, gluing it can harm your hair.
good luck :) |
